Participants will engage virtually for NMLS-approved training and test prep with OnCourse Learning for the first 4 weeks. Upon passing the SAFE MLO test, the new LO will spend Week 5 immersed on-site at UWM.

What does BrokerX cost?
The cost for BrokerX training is $399. You can recieve a rebate of $100 when you submit your NMLS SAFE exam results to OnCourse Learning (see detailed requirements below). Payment will be processed immediately upon the completion of your registration submission. As part of BrokerX, On-Site Skills Development (Success Track training at UWM) is included at no cost to you. Once you have provided proof that you have passed the NMLS SAFE exam, travel arrangements will be confirmed by UWM.
Each participant is responsible for costs and fees associated with the NMLS SAFE exam registration, the MU4 application, background/credit checks and any other required costs. (total costs, starting at $300 may vary depending on state requirements). OnCourse Learning will provide additional details during Orientation.

How do I get my $100 BrokerX rebate?
Upon receiving your exam results, pass or fail, email a PDF of your NMLS Analysis Score Sheet to BrokerX@OnCourseLearning.com with "BrokerX Score Sheet" as the email subject line. Your rebate will be credited to the card used at the time of registration within 14 business days.
To be eligible for the $100 rebate, you must take and share your NMLS SAFE exam within 30 days of completing week 4 of the BrokerX program.
How will I know if my enrollment in BrokerX is confirmed?
You will receive an initial email from support@mortgagebrokerx.com, then two confirmation emails with more details along with Prep xL course materials and log-in credentials from confirmations@oncourselearning.com.
When is the training program fee due?
The entire payment is due in full to our partners at OnCourse Learning (via the payment link you will receive from them via email) within 24 hours of submitting an enrollment form.
If I cancel my enrollment or forfeit my eligibility for BrokerX for any reason during the session, is the training program fee refundable?
You have until 3 business days prior to the date of Orientation to cancel your enrollment in order to receive a full refund. If you forfeit your eligibility during the program, the fee is non-refundable.
How will I know the results of my SAFE MLO test and what should I do with those?
It will be your responsibility to obtain your test results and share verification with OnCourse Learning. More details will be provided during Orientation and Weeks 1-2.
Can I attend BrokerX if I do not plan to take the SAFE MLO test?
All BrokerX participants must register for and complete the SAFE MLO test.
What happens if I fail the SAFE MLO test?
If you do not pass the SAFE MLO test, you must wait 30 days before re-testing and you will forfeit your eligibility to attend On-Site Skills Development (Success Track training at UWM) for that BrokerX session.
If I fail the SAFE MLO test, can I retake BrokerX?
If you do not pass the SAFE MLO test, you can discuss options with OnCourse Learning at that time.
What if my state requires additional hours of training?

How long is the BrokerX program and am I required to attend every class?
BrokerX will span 5 weeks, with Orientation held the week before the 5-week course begins. Per OnCourse Learning requirements, as well as mandates set forth for Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)-approved training, you must attend every virtual class to remain in the BrokerX program.
A 1-hour virtual Orientation will be scheduled the week before the session begins.
The first 2 weeks (Weeks 1 & 2) will include instructor-led virtual coursework with OnCourse Learning. The second 2 weeks (Weeks 3 & 4) will be self-paced virtual exam prep with OnCourse Learning. The last week (Week 5) will be on-site at United Wholesale Mortgage headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan, with their award-winning Success Track training team.
What if I can’t attend one of the classes or if I accidentally miss a class?
In accordance with OnCourse Learning and NMLS requirements, you are unable to miss any classes. If you miss a class, you will forfeit your eligibility for the BrokerX program.
What if I’m late for a class?
OnCourse Learning allows a 10-minute grace period within the scheduled time for each virtual class. If tardiness extends beyond 10 minutes, you will forfeit your eligibility for the BrokerX program.
Does my web camera need to be turned on during virtual classes?
All participants must have their camera on for the duration of every virtual class. If your camera is turned off, you will forfeit your eligibility for the BrokerX program.
Can I use my cell phone to log into virtual classes?
Participants must use a desktop or laptop computer to login to the virtual classes – any use of cellphones will cause you to forfeit your eligibility for the BrokerX program.
When will I receive more information about Week 5: On-Site Skills Development (Success Track training at UWM)?
During orientation you will fill out a form to attend the on-site skill development at United Wholesale Mortgage. Once you have completed your 20 hours of SAFE training, your registration will be processed. Within 24 hours, you will receive a call from a BrokerX team member to confirm your travel details. You will receive your flight and hotel information one to two weeks prior to your visit. As a reminder, On-Site Skills Development is included with your BrokerX MLO licensing and training prep at no cost to you.
Is there a certain time I need to log in every day?
No, you can come and go from the course as it works for your availability. As long as you complete the session within its given time frame.
When do I have to complete the session by?
The session will open the Monday your course starts on at 1 p.m. ET and will close on day 14 at 11 p.m. ET.
What if I don't complete the sessions in time?
NMLS requirements does not permit any extension, nor does it allow any progress to be carried over to the next session. Therefore, course materials must be completed before day 14 at 11 p.m. ET.
Is the daily homework required?
While it’s not required, we strongly encourage completing all of the homework. The assigned homework will build on what has been taught in the course to provide the best opportunity to pass your exam on the first attempt.
Is tutoring available?
Yes, OnCourse Learning offers optional tutoring. There will be links to sign up for sessions in the course message boards.
